HPC-100+
The HPC-100 and larger machines are currently under development.
As an alternative, our
multi-line HPC-30 configurations offer an extremely attractive solution for
installations requiring high capacity. Advantages of this approach include:
-
Flexibility of operating configuration. With multiple machines it is always possible to have the main operation in one location and simultaneously take one or two machines to a different location on a temporary basis in order to do bulk sampling / exploration or simply to optimize / minimize materials handling costs.
-
Capacity Management:
-
Planned maintenance: Taking a big machine off-line for maintenance has a major impact on production capacity. Not so for one of multiple mid-sized machines: planned maintenance can be done on a continuous basis (eg: even just for one hour per machine per day) with minimal capacity impact.
-
Unplanned stops: Same logic as Planned maintenance: if a component of your entire plant goes down and stops a major machine, significant capacity is lost – not so with multiple mid-sized machines.
-
Spare Parts rationalization: one master stock of spares covers all machines. This simplifies spares stock and also justifies a more complete investment in spares offering a total backup for any eventuality. Example: with multiple machine models, stocking spares of major components such as motors and gearboxes is a major investment whereas with a single machine platform, this makes lots of sense.
-
Consistent Training and expertise: Much easier to train all personnel to be familiar with using one machine model so they will be familiar with the entire operation rather than have (even small) knowledge gaps moving from one model to another.
-
Application of these principles/advantages to other components of the operation (pumps, generators, etc.)
